Only ever known them snap completely, remove cones and nuts on ne side - it should pull out. Either take old one to LBS for a an exact replacement or order off interweb. Whilst you're at it you may as well re grease and service the hubs..... oh and try not to lose the bearings....

I can't see from the video whether the spindle is hollow or solid, but the solid ones were prone to bending.
What @Smokin Joe said. For reasons of SCIENCE, solid ones aren't as strong as hollow, I can't remember excatly why, but did read an excellent beginners book about Materials once in a quest to learn. Can't remember what it's called now.

I was out on a ride with a mate on his BSO which suffered the same fault. We stopped at Thee Pubbe for refreshment and bike fettling. I spied a discard pick axe handle lying in the bushes and twatted the end of the spindle with it. Lo! It was straight again.

Unfortunately, engineers of your calibre are becoming a rare breed.
Is 'twatted' a technical term?
Keep up the good work ^_^
