Hi Guys.

I've noticed recently that my wheel has a slight wobble to it. When I spin the wheel it catches the brakes slightly which eventually slows the wheel.

Watching the wheel spin it does look as though the wheel kicks to one side a few mm each time it spins.

I probably will take it my lbs but wanted some ideas as to what it could be ? What sort of thing they might suggest to me.

Thanks for any help.

Sounds like the wheel needs to be trued, which involves retensioning the spokes. I do my own but I believe it's fairly inexpensive to have done at a bike shop - about £10 to £15 from comments I've seen on here.

check to see if any spokes are broken as this would put your wheel out of true. Otherwise, a spoke might need tightening. Wheels can go out of true from hitting a pothole at speed for eg.

there's vids on YouTube about how to fix but you'd need a spoke key. I'd probably take it into a bike shop if I were you. They'll charge something between nothing and £15 to put it right. You could ask them to show you how to DIY in future.
