Yes, i go with two all the time. The Smart is in addition to a (not as good) Cateye I already had.

What are the noticable differences between the MARS 3 and the MARS 4.

I presently have a 3 LED Smart which I will move and clip to my helmet and a LED strip on my saddle bag.

I've got a Mars 4 and a Smart flasher. The Mars is better built and just feels like a better quality product.

Having said that, if I was to spend my money again I would purchase two of the Smart flashers. IMO they are brighter so I would have one for constant and one for flashing. You may read on tinternet that they have a problem with water ingress, but to be fair I haven't had a problem.

I find the standard Halford LED lights to be excellent and have fitted two to the rear and two on my bars.

They're inexpensive and highly visible.
