Rear Hub Rubber Seal Chaffing

On the LHS of my rear hub (Sora) there is a black rubber seal, its now chaffing and making a noise.

Can I use bike oil on it? Or will it damage the seal?

Yep just use some chain lube but just a drop and it will be fine.
