Rear derailleur bit...

the metal bit that attaches the gearing to the frame has two different allen key bolts sizes - is this normal?
I have an Eddy Merckx emx 1
Could not find the key to undo the other bolt so could only remove one for cleaning etc

Theres a bolt that attaches the mech to the hanger, then a bolt that attaches the hanger to the frame. Is that what yo mean? The hanger is weak so if the rear mech takes a knock it should bend beforw the frame does.

yea - the bit that joins the hanger to the frame - it has two different bolt sizes - weird

please don't remove the rear mech (or the mech hanger) to clean it - it really isn't necessary - why are you doing that..?
