rear derailleur bent?

Hi,

I noticed that my rear derailleur looks bent and i dont think its the hanger.

You reckon I should replace the derailleur or is there a fix?

It certainly looks like it is bent. You can always try bending it back, which is the only thing that may work. Given that they are not too expensive these days just replace it. What model is it?

Is the hanger mount secure?

The bike doesn't perfectly vertical too and that might be over exaggerating the pic though. How's it shifting?

The hanger doesn't have to look bent for it to be bent! I had a bent derailleur hanger on one of my bikes, the derailleur looked as bent as yours, but it was the hanger. Replaced the hanger and everything is fine.

the shifting is okay in general, but it skips a couple of speeds sometimes.

I think the hanger should be mounted alright.(It is just one screw)
