The last two women to be hanged in Britain were Ruth Ellis and Styllou Christofi.

Ellis shot her boyfriend on 10th April 1955 outside The Magdala pub, 2 South Hill Park in Hampstead.

Christofi murdered her daughter in law on 28th July 1954 at 11 South Hill Park in Hampstead. On the other side of the road and less than 100 yards away.

You can look up current London figures on t’Interweb. Forbes had a piece looking at registration of deaths as murders compared to the London population of the time at 80,000. The two came out at around 4 per 100,000.

I believe not - nor were the deaths from a variety of other sources.
