Saw Keane in Cardiff wednesday evening, was'nt really looking forward to it,(got the first album, have'nt heard the others)but my girl organised it so went in !
What a brilliant band live, the lead singer made it look effortless, he's got a terrific voice, and i would definately recommend them!

Has anybody else seen a band live ,that they were'nt bothered about, but changed their mind after ?

My brother-in-law took me to see a Welsh singer-songwriter called Martin Joseph years ago. I'd never heard of him, just went to keep him happy, but the guy was brilliant. We went to see him every time he played nearby after that.

Dizzee Rascal. Great fun and a lot of charisma. Also a band called Dead Meadow who I saw as a support for Super Furry Animals. Awesome churning instrumental psychedelia... I went out and bought several albums and was not disappointed.

I got "dragged" along to see Elton John thinking I would hate it, but his band were superb and I really enjoyed it. They did a ten minute rearrangement of Rocket Man that blew me away.

The Clash back in the 70's

Van Halen as they blew Sabbath off the Stage on Sabbath's 10th anniversary tour

Haven't seen any band that's changed my mind about them yet.

I'm going to see Imelda May in The Point, down at the bottom of Bute (Cardiff) tomorrow evening. I'll let you know what happens.

I saw a 8 bands at a rock-fest a few years ago. I had heard of the last but one band on but had not heard anything by them.

They came on and I spent the rest of the set with my jaw on the floor. ;)
I got home the next day logged on t'interweb and ordered everything I could get my hands on by them.

who are they?

GOTTHARD!

I've seen a few that the missus bought tickets for that made me get into them to some extent afterwards. James is one that sticks in the mind. Always disliked them for Sit Down, but have 5 or 6 albums now.
