real pain in the neck

I don't get actual neck pain, but the muscles in the back of my neck can get very tight, which in turn can lead to headaches after long rides. This happens a lot more on the road bike than the mountain bike, presumably because my upper body is at a more acute angle, meaning my head is tilted up/back more.

Aside from making sure your bike fits you properly, the thing that's helped me most is including my neck in my post-ride stretches.
