Needed to get a replacement magnet for a fridge magnet ornament which had sentimental value

This is what arrived

I think we'll need something a tad bigger. Whilst it is genuinely a magnet it isn't one of those super strong niobium ones or anything

That is actually damn dangerous

button magnets cause real problems if swallowed - and that would be very easy to loose and accidentally swallow without realising it!!!

must have some specific use - but not ina house as far as I can see

Swallowing a single magnet is normally just monitored via scans until the patient passes it.

It's swallowing more than one that causes potential problems.

And this one being a fairly weedy one is less of a problem than a couple of the bonkers strong niobium ones which might trap body tissue between them

As an aside it is apparently common practice to get cows to swallow a sizeable magnet which catches more harmful things like bits of barbed wire and nails which they can eat whilst grazing. It then stays in their first stomach where the metal sharps are seemingly less harmful
