Had a bike fit about 5 weeks ago and still undecided on its benefits. My right foot 2nd toe has a burning sensation on longer rides that i never experienced before. Is it possible that the cleat needs to be moved to the rear therefore pushing tthe toe forward?

Just thought i would ask the good people on here before heading back to the shop to ask the experts

if you have paid for a bike fit, and you are not comfortable, then it's not bike fitted properly.
Back to the shop with you to explain the problem.

Pains come and go with long distance. One day its one thing the next week its something else.

Some days no pain another day a pain appears you ain't experienced before

Dont worry about it to much. It's all part of long distance cycling thing

The most important thing is to find a fit your most comfortable with and stick with it !!!!!!!!!!

pinched nerve i think that toe would be right in front of the cleat ?
maybe a pad inside shoe to relieve pressure an insole or check shoe straps over that area ?

I wonder if you're a bit more ''toe down'' as you push down on the right pedal after the fitting, thereby forcing your foot into the toe-end of your shoe and compressing your 2nd pinkie. Oddly, my first idea would be to move the cleat back slightly so that most of the pressure isn't channelled so strongly into the front end of your foot. (If wrong, try the opposite....)

Just because you've paid for a bike fit session doesn't mean you will be comfortable on your bike. It just means your bike will be set up according to what the shop thinks will be about right for you.
You should still expect to make some final tweaks to get what actually suits you in practice.
But still worth going back to shop and asking their opinion.

+1 There is always the things a bike fit can't factor in, such as getting in and out of the saddle and moving around on the bike whilst on the move. I would try the going back to shop option first, explaining the problem and seeing what they can come up with. It will probably be a small tweaking session, and/or maybe the cleats need a slight adjustment as well.
