I've got some Slime Skabs that have been in my seat pouch for over a year and not used yet  . Got some glueless from EBC to get my order over £20 and get free postage. Hope I don't get to use them either :becool::thumbsup: .

I had a deflationary event on a very long steep ( & bumpy surface) descent (Honister - going towards Buttermere), not the nicest experiences. Turned out the patch on a previous puncture had blown off on one side. Never had any probs previously, so concluded the rim heating from lots of braking had overcome the glue. Not really trusted patches since, although I do try to re-use patched tubes on the hack bike.

Never had a problem using patched tubes. Only problem I have had is. The long periods between deflationary events means that my glue has hardened in the tube for my next patch so a new kit is required. Got quite a build up of patches now. Save the tubes and patch a bunch at the same time, find a source for new glue or use glueless patches. Not sure how long the gluuless patches last compared to traditional. Anyone know?
Same here, my lbs sells kits of patches alone (ie without glue) they could do with selling kits with just glue ;) Because of glue going off by the time I come to use it, I also like to patch a bunch with a fresh tube. No idea how long the glueless patches last I bought some Park ones a while back but thankfully never used them.

This stuff is also an idea. Squeeze it in to your tire and it'll seal any punctures you have already but also will distribute itself inside your tube and seal any future punctures as they open.

It says that it's only for use on schrader valved tires but I've had no problem with it in my Presta valves (I can remove the valve core very easily).

Yes, it is a bit of weight on your wheel (not very much though). Compared with changing innertubes (one in three of the journeys I make on canal towpaths, say), this saves me time. Was swapping innertubes very frequently earlier this year but not had to switch in the few weeks I've had this stuff in, and the many reviews on amazon seem positive.

Totally happy with it in my tricross though probably wouldn't want to put it in a shiny carbon racing bike (were I to own such a machine).

The Park Tools patches do last a long time.
Have had a couple of packs for a couple of years now and used one month or so ago and it was still fine.
