He 'lost' the new link.... :laugh:
I remember walking down to my LBS (not far away) once and buying a chain. Felt good about supporting local businesses and all that.

An hour or so later I was back for a quick link. Man in the shop: "But the chain comes with a quick link". Me: "Yes, but I've just catapulted it across my garage and can't find it".

Yep, and as soon as they hit the garage floor they become invisible. Strange 🤔

Anything springy or bouncy , when dropped - gains energy well in excess to that predicted by Newtons Laws via magic - and uses this to
a) detect the nearest hiding place that cannot possible be reached
b) gain sufficient energy to reach this place using either normal energy - or magic

in either case you will find it several months/years later in a place it could not possibly be


still wonder what happened to that watch I dropped in a garage many years ago - it was a great watch and just fell off a table - then ceased to exist
