That sounds like an excellent idea. Might test my camera skills. The Local Outdoor shop recommended Lsr, as others have done. I might visit that shop and find out how much a new pair would be, in order to compare costs accurately.
The boots were bought when I regularly used to take a Winter walking holiday in the Lake District, which I do not do so much now. The Malverns, Bredon Hill, Cleeve Hill, and Clent Hills are within easy reach, and not as tough as the Lakes in December/January.
