GRRRR! Re-routed a cable, but it was too short. Found a rubber cover on the twister and flipped it up to find the end of the gear cable. No way will it come out. Have tried swearing, sweating and phone a friend.
Anyone got the know how ?,
n-ick.

I've only replaced cable on a twist grip once, don't recall it being difficult to get cable out, but then I don't think it was a SRAM.

Have you tried soaking overnight in WD40?

If all else fails you can always take a small electric drill to the nipple, they are quite soft, and you can usually remove enough material to be able to pull out the cable.

I'd go to the SRAM site and download the a pdf instruction file, even if you can't find your specific shifter get a similar one. This should at least stop you doing any damage.
