Just to temporarily get back to the original problem - find a person with a ferret, borrow it, let it walk round round your house inside and outside and leave its scent everywhere (preferably a few dried poos too if you can), the rats are likely to move out pretty sharpish!

I'm disappointed that you're the only one who spotted the deliberate error.

I wasn't sure about picking it out. I don't normally care about spelling and grammar on internet fora - they're there for people to use and if you have people always having a good at someone's english it discourages other to join in - especially as, on some sites, english isn't everyone's first language.

But I though you were fair game (plus you started it ) - if you're going to correct someones spelling or grammar, always check your whiter-than-white when doing so.
