On my work computer I'm not signed into Google so the ad generators can only make assumptions based on location and nothing else. The workstation IP puts me accurately where the company servers are in the USA so I get frequent ads for Realtors, Health Insurance things, or stupid big cars, all just minutes from me. In Atlanta.

On my own portable devices the adverts are the same as everyone else gets I imagine... bike helmets, lights, fitness trackers, or anything I've searched for on Amazon.

A few years ago I did a Google search for "c string" which is a type of data structure. It's also a type of women's underwear, adds for them still pop up when I log on to Facebook (etc).

I've got a c string and a g string along with a couple of e strings amongst others.
