I bought mine few years back. First thing to be removed were the rod brakes.
I never understood why Raleigh decided to go back in time with them.
Few drops of rain and I saw the cars in front of me coming much faster than intended. No oil, just a bit of water.
I keep the rods, but enjoy the Superbe now.
I changed the green rack, which looks good, but is rather useless too. Pletscher alloy with double clip.
The rear red light was broken and never found an original one. I think they were French made.
Never found a suitable rear chain cover part. Found a full crank arm cover, but it tends to come off while pedalling. So I keep the small bit in my basket as I lost it twice and had to look for it.
The way it looked when purchased. Had a shower since. And gain a front cover.
I realised that I never took pics of the bike since the transformation.
