Raleigh Super-U shorts?

For all those of us old enough to remember TDF 1989. Does anybody remember the Raleigh Super-U team kit from those days?
I know this is a long shot (and yes its very sad) but I need to replace my Super-U shorts, they are so worn they are on the very edge of being illegal. I know there are places that will remake a new pair but im not going to part with £70 quid for a pair, just forked out £120 to get the bike restored. Special 25 years this year anniversary of the profs 7 seconds, the ponytail has gone but the memories are still in there for me. Willing to buy a pair in decent condition that wont need steam cleaning or pressure washing. The shirts are still out there along with the windproofs, but I cannot find the shorts sadly.

25 year old shorts - hmmm. I suspect a remake is the only way, or just move to plain black? That way you would get the latest (and more comfy/hygenic) inserts, at least. Unless the shorts are like my 20 year old yard broom, 2 handles and 5 heads, but still original and working!

Hi Old roadman. thanks for the reply, might ask someone to rebuild them for me, side panels are still ok but the backside has had it. Cant throw them out, great sentimental value!!
