That makes me nostalgic. I was a customer of EG Bates right from my schooldays in the sixties till I moved to Wales 15 years ago. Sadly it closed in about '03 on the retirement of the owner, Alan Bates.

Last time I saw the shop it was selling white goods

Bit of an update.
The Group will be 1978 "C" code Dura Ace 7200 Black Series. So far I have a NOS Brakeset and NOS rear Mech. Nearly new never ridden headset. So still need front mech, band on shifters and hubs. Also looking for Dura Ace stem,bars and seatpin these will be a bit later 1980 but will be fine. If any of you have any stashed away that you want to sell or exchange please let me know.
