A bit of tinkering this afternoon has seen the headset cleaned and re greased .

It was rather crusty and dry.

Just fitted some 75mm brake pads to help with the braking , it's a @Spokesmann tip .

same here , this is still waiting some polishing

Next job is the bottom bracket

Bottom bracket done just waiting for the chain whilst it soaks.

After a nice ride on the Panasonic DX6000 earlier i have switched to this one for commuting reasons today mainly to get some miles on the re greased headset and bottom bracket and to bed in the new longer brake pads fr & rr . feels even smoother with fresh grease all round .
