Hi folks I've turned my attention to my old mtb and have done jobs onit that put me off riding it previously.
However since I've had it (about 13 yrs) I have not been able to get a comfortable handlebar position, as far as I can see there is no adjustment to raise the height.
Below is a pic I've taken of the stem cause I was hoping someone could tell me how to riase the hb if possible or, what I would need to buy in order to get the hb raised?

You'll need to buy a new stem with more rise or get a steerer extender like this

You'll have to remove your bars and loosen the two horizontal allen keys on the stem, then loosen, and remove the top-cap and bung with the same allen key.

You then have the choice of fitting something like this, or something like this and then re-attaching your bars. Not particularly elegant, but the only way short of replacing your forks, or junking the frame.
