If YOU work ?? YOU should be aware of H&S requirements wherever YOU do a task of work.
If YOU see a 'Trip hazard' - as you have suggested this - in your own jocular style - YOU are legally bound to report it.
If you are seen passing a 'Trip Hazard' and do not act upon it, however insignificant it may seem to you, and someone comes a cropper, the witness could implicate you for 'Industrial negligence'; and that carries a disciplinary warning, or civil action if it is serious.
This might sound too pedantic to you. Working in a hazardous environment -motorcar testing, or even bicycle racing - forces the participant to be predictive / proactive avoiding situations that MIGHT go wrong.
