Tin of Beans, tin of chopped tomatoes, tabasco & seasoning

We used to have that mix (only with curry powder not tabasco, and the addition of chopped fried bacon and onion)) and then put in an oven dish, and topped with triangles of buttered bread, and baked in the oven, so that the bread went cripsy on top... It was called baked bean casserole, and probably came out of Good Housekeeping magazine sometime in the 70's.

Very easy. Fry the onions and bacon in a little oil, add the tomatoes and baked beans and a little curry powder, heat through well, bung in a dish, top with bread triangles (butter side down, I think), and bake until the bread is cripsy.
