I had my spd pedals fitted today along with my new road bike shoes, ive only ridden about 2 miles.......but boy o boy what a difference it makes, definitely a great purchase.
I shall report back once i get out and pop in the miles :o)

@andrew_rc46, clipless are great! The only thing I've found is that when commuting into work it is a pain in the behind to take a second pair of shoes (I have nowhere I can keep them at work).

I personally use clipless when I'm out on a weekend ride, or for anything long distance however if it's to the shops and back or into work I don't bother.

I have a530s on one bike i use for going out with the kids etc in normal shoes but i can ride them with spds if i want
