Yet me being a 'right winger', I don't throw my dummy out the pram and instead I read the Mirror and Guardian articles to see how they see things. I sometimes even provide links to both online papers on CC. I thought 'Fascism' was all about not listening to other's views while enforcing your own. Yet by refusing to look at DM links because one doesn't agree with them, well that's almost totalitarian thinking I'd say.

I must admit I look at both left and right wing press articles and somewhere in the middle is the real truth in my opinion. Two extremes of stupidity.

Accy's not a right winger. It was all a dreadful misunderstanding.

Codswallop!
It's because the DM has form for telling outright lies to their readers.
How much time and attention do you think we should give to a source that is well known for lying?

To be fair, it's not as if some of the more fondly thought of news sources are necessarily any more reliable.

Outwardly they may groom themselves with air air of haughty respectability, but nearly all are politically biased and modulate their output to coincide with their own position. Some are quite obvious (Times), some are much more subtle (Gruinard) but no less selective for all that.

In the Mail's case they're more in the business of providing entertainment by stoking outrage than delivering accurate news content, but that doesn't exonerate the others.

Not being fond of an unreliable source of information isn't a lefty/righty thing. It's a sense/nonsense thing. Even you didn't seem to adhere to the 'spin' the DM had put on Di'Anno's story, which is to your credit.

I do take most of their articles with a pinch of salt, as they say. I seriously do not think they are as right wing as most seem to think. The DM used to be, but they'll say anything now to attract online interest, so they can attract more advertising. I actually 'hate' the DM, not for their liberal conservative articles, more for the length of time their online paper takes to load up and how it always seems to slow my laptop down.
