So, St George was probably a Turk, and now we find out that Father Christmas is a turk as well. All down to the kebab shop, shish and doners all round. i'm going to change my name to Stavros.
perhaps dayvo can help with this... there's a church (i think) in Gamla Stan in Stockholm that is dedicated to St george, there's also a statue of him slaying the dragon either outside it or nearby. i remember seeing the statue, but can't remember the church. Georgie boy seems quite ubiquitous.
