I like the Rema ones best, they seem to have the best quality patches.

Like others, I carry a spare tube or two and fix the unintended deflation at home.

I do carry a couple of self-stick patches in with regular kit, but to be honest, have never used one. I also carry spare tube(s) -- never patch at roadside. Also carry a tyre "boot." Velox patches are good 'uns. You can buy them bulk, in strips.

it used to be for repairing valves but the tubings almost extinct these days
in valves replaced by a ring ,so pretty useless unless youve an old type tube i imagine .
