I have used them and they have worked fine
then a few days later the tyre goes flat again and it turns out that the air is getting out round the side of the patch
seems like teh glue was not as good as I was hoping!

Just once in my life have I had a patch fail that way, and that was one that had been on for perhaps 15-20 years.

What are you doing wrong? Are you using stale rubber solution? Not roughening the tube? Not removing mould flash? Getting greasy fingers on your work? Poor quality patches?

I fix punctures on my road and gravel bikes in under a minute, sometimes I need to blow the tyre back up but not always.

I always carry a tube, just in case the sealant & Dynaplug doesn’t work. The last time I used a tube was, I’m guessing 10,000 miles ago when I split a road tyre on flint.

I don’t understand why everyone isn’t tubeless.

Under a minute ?

I spend at least 10 minutes pacing back and forwards, swearing a lot and disbelieving the entire situation. and then probably another 15 to 20 minutes, takes at least 5 minutes to make the 200 pumps from my mini pump

the big problem is punctures in the cold, and that is when all the hedge cutting is done Nov thru Jan

I carry a dynaplug kit in my bar bag, it’s always immediately to hand.

This is when I used the self adhesive patches - the ones where I use rubber solution have been fine
it looks like the adhesive is not very good - possibly just a cheap make but I have tried few different one

I could understand it when it happens in the middle of a forest and its was raining so I might have been ina rush
but I have tried it at home when I had plenty of time and the same happens

I presume from this thread that normally people don;t have a problem so I will try again - I'll get some new ones form the LBS so they should be an OK make
