My advice is for you to buy a pump and take it with you when you're out on the bike. Fix that puncture and take the repair kit out with you as well. Also buy a spare tube to take out on bike rides. Punctures are most conveniently repaired in the comfort of your home but now you can cope with 2 on a ride. If you do all that, you can be equipped for most puncture events and avoid any further mickey taking.

A CO2 canister can be used of course but the question is silly at best. At least one person on a ride should have some form of inflation mechanism with them.

OK say this works, will you need to make another small puncture to blow through to repair the first one you made? How may times do you figure you will need to do this before some kind of epiphany occurs ?

Hi,
Silly question, but wondering if you can pump up your tyre WITHOUT using the pump/valve.
e.g. Make a small puncture, blow it up by mouth/foot-pump then fix the puncture.

Callum,
I'm not sure if I'm reading your question correctly but it sounds like you are asking if you can repair an inner tube that has a puncture by deliberately making a second puncture and then using your lungs to inflate it. I'm really sorry but that just sounds completely mental, either that or perhaps you need to rephrase your question.

I'm not sure what valve you have but its worth buying an adapter which will convert a Presta valve into a Schrader valve, that way you could use a car foot pump or a compressor to repair your puncture. failing that, you could always buy a new tube, make sure you always keep your pump and repair kit with you whenever you go out for a ride.
Please don't waste your time trying to inflate the tube with your lungs, balloons yes, armbands for swimming yes, inner tubes no......

Mind you, this guy inflates tubes with his nose, so anything is possible.

It seems perfectly clear from the post that there is only one puncture proposed in the experiment/scenario. There is no pre-existing puncture in the scenario.

It's still completely bonkers.
