Is there an English version not a gobbledegook version

Trespass is generally a civil matter, so if it goes to court the sanction is limited to payment of damages.

Realistically, trudging - or cycling - across someone's land is unlikely to damage it.

The landowner knows this, so is unlikely to attempt to take you to court.

However, fairly recently an offence of criminal trespass has been created.

We have illegal raves and gatherings to thank for that.

I've not researched it fully, but I doubt it applies to trespass by an individual.

This is the lady that famously cut her way into a marquee at the Henley Regatta that had been pitched over a footpath for an exclusive and expensive ticketed party.

She was arrested, and later taken to court for criminal damage.
She claimed she had every right to be there and 'unblock' the path, the party organisers stupidly had got in a very expensive silk to defend the indefensible.
She won, including damages
