PSA Evri Parcel Delivery Scam

Aargh... EVRI just failed to deliver the parcel that my friend was not expecting, so she just clicked a link to download a document to reschedule the delivery!

She finally started to get suspicious when she discovered that the document is not actually a document...

She rang me for advice. I suggested that logging in to her Halifax account to see if she has been ripped off is not a good idea!

I will be going over to do some tech delousing for her in a couple of days time. She promised not to do anything on the device other than web surfing until I have made sure that it is cleared of any malware.

I don't know. I just told her that the device is to be considered unsafe until I have checked it, so not to do online banking or make any purchases. Preferably, not to use it at all!

I will try to go over tomorrow evening to take a look.

If the scam just targets PCs, she might be okay because she uses a Chromebook. I'm going to check up on Chromebook security later this evening.
