Hi
Complete newbie so can I get some advice please?
How are people getting to the start?
I live in Worcester park near a3 m25 junction.
I can think of three options:

1-drive in and park. up somewhere. not a bad choice if the organisers have laid on parking (I need to check).

2-stay overnight. the pru site did mention accommodation.

3-get a long suffering relative to chauffeur me. My preferred option.

The train is no good as the earliest gets in to London at 8.
With 20000 cyclists I don't think I'd get the bike on a train home too.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
S

Err its gone uncharacteristically quiet in here. Have I upset anyone or are you all out enjoying the warm weather?

I continue to muse at my lack of experience and really have very little idea of what to expect on Aug 4.

Lots of bikes and Lycra for sure, but do they provide loads of water ? Should I load up with a 2l bladder on the back pack and a couple of bottles on the frame?

Same thoughts on food. Amazing what I've been reading people eat on the road. Should I pack sandwiches, bars, jelly babies and fruit and nut?

Strategy is simpler. I just want to make it round in 9 hours.

Cheers all
