"Carnivore" and "omnivore" are interchangeable.

My "negative vibes" are reserved for the posturing liberals and not for vegetarianism itself.

I see no posturing liberals on this thread, and none of my vegi friends could be called that. This seems to me to be typical lazy stereotyping of people who chose not to eat meat some of who are very right wing.

Neither do I and obviously I can't speak for your friends; I was speaking of, some, of the vegetarians I do know.

If you go back and read what I actually wrote, then you would see that I am sticking-up for Nihal.

Skim-reading an opinion that doesn't trot out the orthodoxy that vegetarianism is either a) GOOD or b) BAD, but instead considers both sides of the argument, that is "lazy stereotyping".

PS Carnivore vs omnivore: any comment, or are you just going to ignore that and hope no-one notices?

How vegetarian are you? Are yogurt and milk off the list?

Also, there's really an age limit on protein powders and drinks? Because I don't think there is and there are a bunch of vegan protein powders on the market.

Getting enough protein from beans and lentils is tough.
No.I dont mind milk or yogurt or even eggs. But aren't they high in carbs?

Way to go guys, really stick it to the 15 year old!

Broadly speaking I agree with you: humans are carnivores. But bearing in mind that the OP lives in India I'm not sure he should be considered with the "I don't eat anything with a face" angst ridden, political vegetarians we have here.
Thats the problem with my family. They HATE meat. They get disgusted at even the thought of coming near meat:sad:.But i don't mind though.I dont really care much about the face of whatever it is that i eat.But PARENTS.

ermm... India? Hindus? Cows and what not? Give the wee boy a break, he's gonna get to be a BIG boy eventually
Way to go Nihal, tofu, chick peas, beans, a 30 mile bike ride in the bag for you
I see you know about cows.Did you know that they are also empowered to cause really long roadblocks. That right, people are more likely to apply their brakes for a cow in the middle of the street,NOT a biker:sad:

Why are you do concerned about carbs? Surely at 15 you are still growing and should be eating a proper balanced diet (even if it is vegetarian). Milk, yoghurt eggs, high in protein, yes there is fat and carbs, but you need these in your diet too

Durum wheat is tasty, a good alternative to rice and a good source of protein
