I got into Lego Technic a few years ago. I'd either buy a new or used kit and build it. I had the idea for a project, to mount the finished article on a suitable base (e.g. a wooden shelf with suitable terrain/trees etc on it) and then mount them on the wall. but my partner said it would look like a child's play area (what do they know) so it didn't happen. I ended up just building them and then selling the kit on

There isn't a great deal to tell really. It's a 5 week course at my local library which is teaching folks how to work with pewter. Today was week 3 where we did the sketching and got to play around patinating the metal or applying it to a pebble.

It's free to attend and it's a lot of fun.

North Shields library? I'll have to have a look at that. I'm always interested in trying new crafty things - especially if it's free.

Yep - or "Customer First Centre" as they call them these days for some reason.

There's a big board with all the upcoming stuff that's there - I'll have a wander along later and take a pic for you.

Thanks. I do follow NT libraries on Facebook but hadn't spotted the course you're doing.

Honestly I don't remember how I found out about the pewter thing. Possibly because given my music tastes "metal" will come up a lot.

I'm gonna give the Mandarin class a go, and a few of the talks look really interesting. Hopefully see you there.

That's what I call a project. Any ideas on the timescale?
