Put the bolts back on so that they protect the shaft and clonk each with a rubber/plastic hammer (do not use an ordinary hammer!). You may have to clonk quite hard - this will 'release' the lowers and you can then slide them off. There isn't a lot to 'service' in there - all you can do is clean them up , put some fresh grease in and refit. There is no fork oil or anything in there just a big srping on one side
