i need help im just new to biking i am using a litespeed c1 2013 just bought it last week. i have a problem on gear shifting the front and the back wont change gear. my rear gears wont shift to a higher gear its just stuck on the lowest gear is there something wrong with my shifter ?

Is there enough tension in the cables !
Can we just confirm the terminology. When you say wont shift to higher gears do you mean it won't shift from the smaller sprockets to the larger ones or from the larger sprockets to the smaller ones. Shifting to higher gears at the back means from large sprockets to small.
When the chain is on the smallest sprocket is the gear cable loose or tight.

Did you buy it online? If not, I'm sure that if you pop it back to the shop they'll re-tension the cables for you (many offer this as standard in the first few weeks)
