He has been a great servant to the country and solid support to the Queen. Along the way he has said exactly what he wanted and that has raised a few laughs. RIP

Wish him luck which ever way he's going, upwards or downwards.
I'm just glad I've got Netfix and a ton of prerecorded programmes to watch.
I guess reporting of Covid and Brexit issues will be off the news for a few days, maybe until he's buried.

I switched to listening to Planet Rock. But they seem to be playing the same playlist every hour. Fed up with hearing REM 'everybody hurts' for the 3rd time. Now...I was thinking of the extended Directors cut of Lord of the Rings to watch later. There'll probably be sod all else (there goes Gardeners World?).

One thing though....Nicholas Witchell looks run off his feet...

How long will the wall-to-wall radio coverage of PtG go on, do we think? Shaun Keavney's due on.

By the way, liked the bloke, am sad he has died.
Yeah, the BBC's gone a bit overboard. According to my screens, they've wiped out 5 channels (BBC 1, 2, Scotland, Alba and News) until 2am. Isn't this what BBC News is for? Maybe take one of BBC 1 or 2 if they really feel it needs more, but 5 channels?

Also, may he rest in peace. I think on balance he was OK as a public figure except for some dodgy comments. I shall remember him this weekend when I ride along the little bit of National Cycle Route 1 that he cleared of persistent nettles and brambles (cleared with his Range Rover on its roof, but it still helped...)
