Is this an attempt to settle an insurance claim out of court? How much are they offering and is it about what you thought?
Normally these pre medical offers are offered because the other person's insurance company is worried about having to pay more if you get a proper medical. I would hang fire if it were me and wait until they pay for a proper medical.
Obviously, if you are just swinging the lead and hoping for a payout, it might be worth taking. This is why the companies make these offers. If you've been damaged don't take it.

What has your solicitor said? Presumably you have one? Mine advised me to reject the offer and get the expert examination and review of medical records. Guess it depends if you are happy with the offer? Mine was pathetic to say the least

If you are not fully healed, you should not accept anything until you are

The solicitor should arrange physio for you which the other side will be asked to pay, as you are entitled to treatment to ensure full rehab to pre accident state if at all possible. Also, get the ball rolling on the expert appointment asap. The injuries sustained (?) will determine the type of doctor seen

To warn you, it could take months and months to resolve.

Definitely get physio, although you will need to be cautious with the ribs (physios can be quite erm vicious  )

That bad eh? never been

I have worked with them!

More seriously though there is always a chance that problems may occur later on, and if this is assessed and treated early then there is a better prognosis

The down side is if you settle prior to a proper medical then that treatment and any future complications will be at your expense

Cost me near on £3k for physio from my off. Only surgery, further physio and injections sorted it. Be prepared to have to pay it out yourself.

I've was referred for physio twice on the NHS - it never arrived. I got on with private treatment.

Eventually recovered the medical expenses.

The advantage of Bupa...but they are now refusing to pay for any more physio for me unless referred by a specialist again  Waiting for the medical report, depending on that I might get more funded

If I have an issue, I'll have to spend more of Bupa's cash (and quite possibly the driver's insurance company's cash) and see a specialist. Bupa's bill so far is about £4.5k (quite a lot was for the surgery unsurprisingly)

Or that of the NHS

The NHS Physiotherapy is stretched, and in the current climate, Physios are responding to the present NHS pay cuts by working privately which exacerbates the problem

If the other driver caused your injuries, they can pay for the treatment
