PPI claims

It's not that simple..in many cases ppi was wrapped into loan and mortgage conditions. While the onus is on the buyer..the seller often told porkies too.. and these things were pushed and affected the banks bottom line..plus gave the loan or mortgage arranger a nice bonus.

Indeed. It is now looking like those who checked the small print are now the ones who are looking like they've missed out.
Morality for our times. How the hell is that 'missing out'?

From my perspective I see the 'missing out' bit as not having a lump sum paid back to me when I need it. However, given I never paid it out in the first place, nor put it aside to save it, I haven't really missed out on anything in the first place.

I do get really fed up with the barrage of texts and calls about 'my PPI claim' and my 'recent accident' based on their 'records'. I reckon those companies should think twice before paying for such records as they are clearly inaccurate!

I wonder if you can claim for the mental torment of being pestered by claims companies?

They've missed out on nowt.

They haven't shelled out for a protection that offered no protection and as such do not warrant a refund.

The ones who have missed out are the one's that are unaware that they are eligible for a refund.

Fortunately (or unfortunately) I always read the small print and so never took out any PPI.

If you were or are a Barclays customer, that may not be a defence! They are apparently guilty of applying PPI to agreements whether it was requested or not. That's what I was told by Fair Trade who are looking into things for me now.

Costs nothing to ask the question
