Pot holes/crater

Avoid them like the plague,I've had battles with Hampshire council last year they always have the answer I put in for two tyres seperate incidents and got one,but ones better than nothing,I had lots of piccies and aggressive letters,hardly worth the bother but they are a law to them selves,so now I report the pot holes ASAP and they have to reply and or repair them,by now I am sure I have pissed them off!!

Well just come to North Somerset for potholes. though it seems that they are pretty much all over the place here in the UK according to prior posts
But I think that local councils don't worry over the cyclist, well ours don't as the cycle lane is where the potholes are mostly

I am convinced that poor road surfaces and a lack of decent facilities and maintenance of same, are one of the main reasons why more people don't cycle.

I certainly have my heart in my mouth when I am trying to negotiate a particularly badly surfaced road whilst extremely wary of the impatient car driver right on my tail !!!!

After reading this thread, I reported a particularly wicked (almost 0.5 metre diameter and 5cm deep) hole in the lane near my home on Saturday and it was filled Tuesday after sitting there for 6 months. My gob was smacked! Mind you-they ignored all the other (slightly) smaller holes around it!

But hey- RESULT!
