the incentive behind the post count limit is to stop folk just using CC as a kind of for sale noticeboard to sell their wares. Of course no-one would just register to promote the sale of their stuff, would they...

Brandane, why not contribute something to the forum? ask some questions, tell us something useful, post some pictures, drink some tea. This will soon get you to your target.

As well as that, ime, you are more likely to get a sale if you have posted on the forum a few times.
Newly registered users should always be treated with caution by all, and i wouldn't buy anything off anyone without knowing an address, a work email, a telephone number amongst other things.
