Yes and no. Someone's obviously looked at factor-of-efficiency vehicles and 1930s streamliners, although the execution could be better.

This would be pretty efficient at low speeds where the air flow over (and under) the surfaces is laminar. But as soon as you speed up and get turbulent air flow, then yes, a lack of downforce at high speed would make the handling... interesting.

In F1, it's a constant balancing act between drag and downforce, as you want low drag on the straights and high downforce in the corners.

Interesting. Is it a forestry machine? I've seen a broadly similar-ish tracked steam engine in a museum in Finland (Rovaniemi Forestry Museum) which was used for hauling logs.

The one I saw looked older and less powerful. Not that I'm any kind of judge of these things.
No idea if I'm honest.
