I thought so too, but he's been collecting Strava segment crowns for all the nastiest pave secteurs. Obviously he might be motorpaced and fresh for them, but it doesn't look like he's overly bothered by the stones.

I still make MvdP overwhelming favourite (not least because he never seems to puncture/have a mech/crash in P-R), with Mads 2nd favourite and Pog third. Ganna and Van Aert somewhere in all that as well.

I will see what I can come up with. I am still coming to terms with the slightly different options.

I felt quite smug after noticing the blood on Pog's left wrist: I correctly guessed it was due to chafing from his (sponsored) watch.
A similar thing happened to me when I rode Roubaix the route - luckily just my lightweight casio, so the skin damage was minimal!

Also noticed he was wearing gloves with very long fingers - presumably against likely crash damage?
(google images suggests he mainly rides with bare hands, but had gloves for Strade Bianche.)

p.s. cracking race, loved every minute! And the Femmes race was pretty good too.

I read today that Pog joined Merkcx as the only rider to have podiumed on each of the GTs, monuments, and Worlds.
