I've been with Plusnet here from before the BT days and never had an issue with them that was their fault, we are now on FTC with them and no trouble with the change in equipment. We've migrated a few of our family to get the discounts and swap went smoothly, in one instance a niggly little problem went away, so presumably a bit of kit in the exchange was changed.

Another long term customer of Plusnet and also very happy with them. Occasionally had to call them as my father's (also Plusnet) broadband was very slow and customer service is pretty good.

I'm not sure, but Windows Defender is all the virus protection you need IMHO.

The only gripe I've got with Plusnet is they stopped their TV service on 28th October so I lost Eurosport and BT Sports 1 that i was getting for £5 a month. Other than that, all good.
Yes I'm peed off about that ! Liked having Eurosport on the tv to record etc.Otherwise same as yourself, happy enough with Plusnet.

Success! :hyper:I spoke to a very nice man on BT this morning, mentioned the fact that BT advertises the deal I already have for £28.95 to newcomers and he said: " We can do that for you too" which will save me £16 a month,on a 24 months contract.
I am happy to stay with BT now for another 2 years.:okay: ^_^
That is great, but wouldn't it be nice if companies rewarded loyal customers rather than bribing new customers with money from them!

Well, no. If they weren't ripping off the lazy and the elderly, how could they afford to give stonking discounts to the likes of us? It's all good. :okay: :becool:

I've been with Plusnet for a few years now, including through two house moves, since before they were owned by BT.

Although owned by BT, they are run as an independent company.

Prior to Plusnet, I was with TalkTalk, and found their customer service so bad you could no longer build a barge pole long enough for me to not touch them with. I have found Plusnet customer service, on the few occasions I have needed it to be very good indeed.

As others have said the "broadband in every room" will depend on the modem/router you have - you don't need to use the one supplied by them, although I believe the Plusnet one is pretty decent - I don't use it, but keep it as a back up in case my main router dies.

I get a perfectly usable signal in my attic bedroom, 2 floors up from my Plusnet router. I haven't actually bothered testing the speed up there, but...

Blow it - I'll put the kettle on and take the laptop up there to check for you all!

Ok, I am back downstairs after testing upstairs... I don't have fibre broadband so the BB speed in this room right next to the router is 'only'*** 16.9 Mb/s. The speed in the attic is... ALSO 16.9 Mb/s - that's a surprise! Obviously, the router is capable of pushing a decent wifi signal out and the speed limit is actually the speed of the ADSL BB connection.

*** About 20 years ago, I paid £100 in one month for 1/500 of that speed on dial-up!

I've had an intermittent fault on my line for several years now. I keep reporting it to Plusnet, and they keep telling me they've fixed it, but I think that's just because they've never seen it.
