Thank everyone.
Monkeylc I am slightly mature (in age) early 50's and did it with no problems

I am actually surprised about the lack of aches, the only minor problem is the tip of my left little finger is still completely numb!

Fantastic stuff ! Well done to you.

I too am very new to this (about 8 or so road rides to date) and cannot believe I am now approaching 100 miles a week and have completed a 50 miler with another due in next 4-5 weeks.

I am constantly thinking about cycling now.

I hope that I am able to continue to ride right up until I pop my clogs. I hope that is at least another 40 years from now !!!

The route was A607 to Melton, B676 to Colsterworth, A151 to Corby Glen, , ripping dale, B1177 to Dowsby, B1397 to Gosberton, Boston, A52 Wainfleet then Skegness.
Didn't quite make the 100 miles wish I had but couldn't physically do any more!

I rode from Leicester to Skegness yesterday with my work colleagues to raise money for pancreas and liver cancer research.
I did three months training and was worried about the first half being the hilly part but that was a doddle, the last 20 miles was riding into a strong headwind and was not, but I did it I did it!
If anyone had told me 6 months ago that I would be doing such a thing I would have said they were bonkers!

Sara, are we related? We share the same surname.
