I like sandwiches
Hello. Due to a muscle problem/condition I need gloves that are very easy to pull on. I've found that Garneau Gel Ex are relatively easy, but I'd appreciate some recommendations. They don't have to be designed especially for cycling, don't have to be waterproof, and they only have to keep the cold off for short journeys.

At the moment I'm using some B&Q gardening gloves, which are pretty useful but I'm not expecting great durability from them.
Thanks in advance.

Oven gloves?

Neoprene divers gloves. Cheap, warm, waterproof, and easy to pull on and off.

Perhaps some Sealskinz waterproof gloves? Yes, I know waterproof isn't one of your requirements, but these gloves are comfortable, and not bulky, and I find they slip on easily enough, particularly if you pick a large enough size. Hope that helps . You can find them online at Chain Reaction Cycles, and some outdoor/camping clothing stores may also stock them.

How about lobster mittens? Might be easier to put on than a full five fingered glove.

I've often used Lidl's ski gloves when it's quite cold. Very comfortable and easy to put on, and cheap as well (under £6 if I remember correctly). I've never had any problem operating STI shifters with them.

I use power stretch gloves either on their own or under another glove in really cold weather, I usually find them easy to get on and off, and they aren't very bulky. I didn't find merino gloves warm enough.

I must admit I've occasionally wondered what builders gloves would be like.

not meaning to spam the same post but i just posted this in similar thread and thought it might be useful as for your short journeys they should be ok and they are elasticated at the wrist so are very easy to put on.

I bought these for running last winter and they were £7.99 , now they're on sale for £1.99 which is a bargain to be had, they're really comfortable gloves and wind resistant enough stop my hands getting really cold when cycling/running, I like that the branding is reflective also

they probably wont be great in the freezing cold going into the minuses but anything above and they should be ok

the only very minor gripe I have is the seams at the end of the fingers can be a little irritating but you soon forget about it

I like these wool defeet ones. They're tightly woven wool so not completely windproof and not waterproof but warm enough for most days and fast drying. There's no liner or anything so easy enough to pull on and off withouty the fingers turning inside out or anything. Essentially a simple but high quality woolen glove. There's a range of colours and hi vis varieties if you're that way inclined.
