It's generally the last thing on your mind.....Gav that was uncalled for.

Don't try and remove it with a multi tool ....go back....

I'll also comment on the fact that they go manky - I had one for 2-3 weeks after breaking a bone in my hand - turbo training on it...not a good recipe for smell free..... god knows how folk go on for 6 weeks.........

Yes, dont use a multi tool

Use the biggest hammer you have:evil::evil::evil:

I used a dremel to cut a cast that was on my arm and wrist. Not all of obviously, just a rectangle where the itchiness was worst.
Absolute heaven to be able to scratch it. Smelt a bit though.

There are only two things you can do. Break the cast or break the jacket. It's my logical brain you see, glad to help out weaker minds! ;0)

When my brother was young he was forever doing idiotic things to himself, mainly because he is an idiot. He went through a lot of casts. Smashed them, soaked them, one he just pulled off. I think the best one was when he had an itchy arm and pushed a bolt down the cast to try and scratch it. Bolt got stuck, so he tried to fish it out with a fork. Fork got stuck as well and we had to take him to the hospital as they were both digging into his arm!

Wrong!

There is, as ever, a Third Way.

Just leave the jacket on. It won't be more than a couple of weeks.

That way, you won't ruin it.

Will you?

As Dave said, leave the jacket on. It might look a bit strange in the house, but it might encourage you to go out an do a bit of walking rather than sitting around.

Good story BTW, made me larf so it did

Get a GF that can sew then;)
Or, take it to your school, to the text tiles department and chat the teacher up. Get her to do it for you and do a good job of it.
