No, I wouldn't kill things myself - it doesn't really do it for me - but it doesn't bother me if other people do enjoy it, especially if it happens to control pests as well, and even more so if it happens to be illegal not to control them, as Patrick intimated.

I don't know, as I say it wouldn't do it for me. But I can imagine there's a sense of achievement in shooting something at a longer distance than you've ever managed before, especially if you can help keep the pest population under control and feed buzzards at the same time.
