I'm heading down this evening with a friend to watch it. Really looking forward to it.

Rest of the weekend will be packing for my impending holiday to Thailand. Can't wait!

Supposed to be doing the Union and Fourth And Clyde canals on Saturday, Edinburgh down to Croy, but looks like it's rained off! :0( Not happy.

Sunday is the pendle pedal, not sure about saturday. there are a couple of options the favorite one involves me being brave so might not happen.

Enjoying the extra space in my shed to do some work on my commuter while my tourer is away being mended.

Radio, occasional mug of coffee and bikkie, nostalgic smell of oil and various bike bits in boxes and hanging off hooks, safe from howling wind and rain... bliss!

No bike this weekend at all - off to N. Wales to in-laws caravan - it's the first time my MIL has been to the caravan after her stroke in March - FIL will need all the help lifting and stuff as it doesn't have all the mobility 'aids' that the house now has, and if she can't get up, he can't lift her.

I will be visiting the Severn Valley Steam Railway tomorrow. It runs past the Safari Park near Bewdley, so I will try and kidnap one of the white lion cubs from there.

I may have no alternative but to have lunch in one of the public houses.

The King and Castle on Kidderminster station does a fine selection of beer...

I used to work in the Ticket Office at Kidderminster. Thirsty work dealing with all those passengers, making the announcements etc. I had to go past the King and Castle to get to the Main Line station. Would have been rude not to partake of their refreshments. Also an excellent Chippie on the other side of the road.

I was also a Travelling Ticket Inspector - but that's another story!
(Still got the Hat and the Badge).

Just missed the train from Croy to Edinburgh and the next train was cancelled so we cycled up the way instead. Stopped at Linlithgow and turned back so we did about forty miles on the canal path. Which is kinda boring, but at least we didn't get too wet :0)
